Personal Training

Expertise you can trust, Results you can see!

All of our trainers are nationally certified by leading organizations (such as the American Council on Exercise, the National Sports and Conditioning Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine), and have extensive experience in a wide range of specialty areas including:

  • Weight Loss
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiac Rehab
  • Arthritis
  • Auto-immune disorders (multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis)
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sports-specific training

Since our approach to health is comprehensive, and we believe that the best results are achieved through a combination of both exercise and nutrition, we highly encourage our personal training clients to also take advantage of our nutrition services. Our registered dietitian can create a customized meal plan to compliment your training program and optimize the effectiveness of your workouts.

Personal Training FAQ's:

Do I have to be a member of a gym to work with a personal trainer from LifeStyle Wellness?

No, gym membership is not required. At LifeStyle Wellness, our trainers will work with you to develop a program that suits your needs. You may choose to train in our studio, or if you prefer, we can also make home visits.

Where do training sessions take place?

Most of our training takes place at our studio, which is equipped with a variety of fitness tools, including stability balls, dumbbells, and resistance bands. We also offer home visits for clients that wish to exercise in the comfort of their own home, and/or need to schedule sessions during non-business hours.  We've also arranged training sessions at the track, football stadium, soccer fields, etc.  So in short, it's entirely up to you where you prefer to train.  If you're not sure, we will be happy to guide you and provide suggestions as to the most appropriate location for you.

How does personal training work? How does my trainer know what exercises I should do?

At LifeStyle Wellness it is our goal to tailor your fitness training program specifically to you! Typically we will begin with a comprehensive fitness evaluation, which includes assessments of cardiovascular health, strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Based on these results, we will then create a custom program that pinpoints your areas of need and your personal health goals.

Can I train with a partner or small group?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. Training with a spouse or friend is one of the best ways to stay on track and progress toward your goals... see above (Partner and Small Group Training). As an incentive, we offer special discounts for partner and small group training... contact us for details!
